                                           Biography
My Dad Gangdia Michael was born on the 20th January 1970 in Bali at Njenka by Pa Kaspa Isaac and Mama Agnes Sanga. He did his primary and Secondary school education in Bali and his high School at the Government High School Mbengwi. After the Advanced level, he worked at the Batula Company in Douala for some time and then decided to go back and do a profession nursing course at Shisong Catholic Nursing School in Banso. After graduating he worked as a nurse in Mundemba. While in Shisong, he got married to our Mum and they later relocated to Douala. As a struggling young man he eventually left his family in Douala and came to Germany in 2001 in search of greener pastures. As a young man he went through thick and thin and in 2009 after much hard work, of my Dad succeeded in bringing our mum; his beloved wife to besides him in Germany. He worked with the Ratiopharm company till 2011 and decided to open his own Company called Firma Gangdia M. He was equally working hand in hand with the Company Münkle. We the family are here today because of his many years of sacrifices. Even in his jovial mood he was very focused. My Dad was a man of the people and a lover of culture. I will describe my dad as a man of few words but always full of wisdom. He was also a fast thinker, always available and always having the ears to listen. You did everything to give us a decent and me in particular a decent education. You promised us more to be able to progress. The greatest gift you gave me was that you believed in me. Since the day you were declared death I have truly come to understand what the words “I missed you” mean. Due to his extreme love for Culture and his village, he was a very active and devoted cultural meeting member. While in Douala, he was the Youth's president of the Bali cultural association and here in Germany; he was first the secretary of the Bali Cultural Association and later on became the president of the Baden Württenburg branch of the BCA Germany. He was equally very good at socio-cultural activities around him which i think my Aunts and uncles in Ulm can testify. For my short time here in Germany I realised you were everybody’s friend, always willing to help even when it was not possible. But you always had a solution. He has left behind 4 children, his wife, many Siblings, his parents, friends, Relatives and well wishers to mourn him.
You died a tragic death and your passing away is such an unforgettable experience that will ultimately change our life forever. It hurts to think that you are not here anymore. Although I can’t help but smile with tears in my eyes to think of how we cherished each and every moment of our lives together when you were alive. Good bye Dad. You will forever remain in our hearts; you were such a lovely Dad to us all. We love you so much but God loves you more. May your soul rest in perfect peace.
